Pope wants to win at BYU. He's genuine when we says that. I believe that
if he can continue to be successful at BYU, he's sticking around and creating a legacy here. BYU has the potential to be a very good basketball program year in, year out. I think Pope sees that and wants to make that happen. I sense that for Pope, he is not about the salary, resources and recruiting pipeline available if he were offered a top-tier coaching gig. He knows that he can create that independent of the already established legacy and brand the blue bloods enjoy. And he knows that that will mean far more to him and to the Church than if he were to have success at a program like Kentucky.
