Yes. The Director wanted to bring in the likeness of the board game where the ending is always different. It ended up
backfiring on them when it was released. With only one end being shown it left audiences unfulfilled, it wasn't until they started releasing it with all three when it came out on VHS that it started to become a cult classic. It didn't do well in the theatres only bringing in 14.6m worldwide.
