is there anything preventing car makers from putting two charge ports in a car to cut charging time in half?

have 1/2 the batteries tied to one charging port, the other 1/2 to a port on the other side and you could plug in two chargers at at time.

Also, some cars can be tow charged (power regenerates while it's being towed)
