It’s called ROR1. Its found on embryonic but not adult cells. Cancer produces it
And they’ve made an antibody that blocks it. Apparently cancer cells sometimes get attacked one way (by chemotherapy) and then find an escape hatch to survive. They think ROR1 has been acting as this escape pathway. Now by blocking it, the cell dies bc it’s not able to survive by ROR1 escape. They use it in combo therapy.

“The holy grail of cancer research is finding a protein that’s expressed on cancer cells but not on normal cells.” ROR1 is such a protein.
