Best value won't be for a Toyota or Honda. Toyotas and Hondas hold their value
well, which is means that you'll get a much better deal on a similarly equipped Pacifica or Sedona.

What’s the sweet spot for age and mileage for buying a used car for best value?

IDK, but get the Sienna. AWD if you are in a snowy state.

Probably 2-3 years, when leases and rental fleets are done with them...

Yup, we got a 2 year old Pacifica that had been a rental car for $20k < MSRP.

Generally largest depreciation hit is first year and second year.

Those vans seem to hold their value unfortunately.
