I don’t understand this. Nobody is expecting a response on Sunday night, and
nobody is asking you to check your email Sunday night. Just read and respond when you start work on Monday. No big deal.
Email is about sending someone a note when it’s convenient to you, knowing that the recipient will read it when it’s convenient to them. Nowadays expectations get out of whack (on both sides).
Now, if they are emailing just to show they work on Sunday, that’s lame.
