In search of a chainsaw for emergency use. I live in an urban part of Southern California, but recent high winds left trees across roads, in yards, etc. Some of them weren't cleared for days. I don't want to be stuck waiting for the city to handle things in an emergency when my family or others around us need something done.
I'm not going to be clearing forest land for hours every week, and I don't have timber land out in my back pasture, etc. I'm assuming I need something essentially for emergency use only. I'm assuming that gas is the way to go, since the situations when I will likely need it might also be times when the power grid is down. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of looking at the Harbor Freight models and getting one of the less expensive gas models. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.
