In McDavid’s defense I think he is extremely fast but not the fastest in the
league in straight line speed (as evidenced by that clip).
But he is absolutely the fastest in the league with the puck on his stick. When you factor in straight line speed PLUS puck control, edge work, agility, etc he’s one of the greatest skaters of all time with the puck on his stick.
