They measure reliability much differently than JD Powers
They survey only subscribers to CR. JD Powers surveys from all buyers (for brands that participate, which is most). It is interesting nevertheless to see the differences (and commonalities) between the two surveys. Mazda is right in the middle of the pack in JD Powers, but tops CR.
