Criddle has talked about this a couple of times and I think it's real.
How many other programs around the country have to deal with players who are not only married, but may have small children all while trying to go to school and meet the demands of playing D1 football? It's a real challenge because that fire it takes to put in the time and dedication to make it to the NFL may not be shared with a spouse. It probably helps if the spouse is a BYU athlete as well, but that doesn't happen for all of them.

I really think that the culture of BYU for RM in particular will make it very difficult for the football program to achieve the kind of all-in commitment that players like Zach gave. I'd like to think that a few are going to see what he did and decide they want it. 5-6 starters who are really committed to making the NFL would be a big improvement.
