This information is not incompatible with my comment. We have, what,
60 or 70 RM's on the team every year. Of course, some of them are great players and are going to be totally committed. I did not say "all". Do the math, 60 or 70 RM's for 25 years and what percentage made it in the pros? Some few are going to make it. Note that my model specifically said that they come back more mature, realize they are not going to make it at the next level and don't fully commit. There will also be those that know they have the talent or those that are going to push themselves to the brink to make it at the next level. Let me ask you a question. You're an RM with a wife and maybe a kid. You are struggling to keep your starting position and don't think you have NFL talent. Are you going to do the extra time in the gym and extra film time or are you going home to your wife and child? Oh and your wife works because as a scholarship athlete because you can't. So, are you going to do the extra time in football, with your studies, and/babysitting while your wife works?
