If UCLA wins, it makes our loss to them not look so bad - we lost to a national championship team. If Gonzaga wins, it makes us look even more like little brothers since we lose to Gonzaga AND to teams Gonzaga beats. Yeah, I know we used to be the team that came closest to beating the zags, and had the best half against them, blah blah blah. No one remembers that. We lost. I don't think people will go "Oh Gonzaga, they are from the WCC - must be a good conference." Few could tell you what conference they are in. What other team from the WCC got past one and done, let alone got in?

I don't think Gonzaga winning and UCLA losing is a plus for us in any way.
