Yah I feel like OP is more talking about RV camping?
If it's just a pull camp trailer then you can go all sorts of places and just post up for the night/weekend just like tent camping.
I don't have a trailer, I only have tents right now, but I've considered it for future use. Like a jayco type pull trailer.

To each his own. But for me, I love camping with my 5th wheel. I almost never go to organized campgrounds
