I cant spend a day at my house without getting "homesick" for the mountains.
It's in my blood. Its part of who I am. I crave the trees and the sage and the streams and the wide open spaces. The solitude, the quiet. Beautiful things, no humans.

Ive seen so many amazing things. Been feet away from feeding mountain goats, watched rutting mule deer sparring, listened to trophy bull elk bugling. I had a golden eagle land on a rock 10 yards from me. Ive watched the sun come up while sitting on 12,000' peaks. Ive watched salmon and trout running up rivers and building nest in the gravel. Ive observed quail, grouse, pheasant, turkey, pika, peregrines, bobcats, cougar, bear, bighorn, coyote, antelope...so many cool animals, living in their natural habitat, undisturbed, not knowing i was there watching them.

I always say that if you just get outside and into the wild you will see cool things. It happens nearly every time i go out. I honestly feel a little bad for people who havent been able to experience the things i have.
