I have one at BYU and one at UVU. I attended both schools myself, but cheered for BYU growing up. I guess I could rock a UVU hat or sweatshirt as an alum, but my daughter doesn't need me rocking a UVU sweatshirt because she didn't get into the Y. It seems a little bitter unless there was something she was competing in where I'd definitely support her, but there's no reason to change an allegiance of school support based on academia. She's not competing and I've never cheered her high school or middle school on as she walked out the door in the morning so why would I start now?
