Plays a role. i.e. when Robert Sarver bought the Suns from Jerry Colangelo. I met Robert at a golf tournament (I didn’t pay to go and am not good at golf so no humble brag). He wasn’t a very good person from my interaction. Subsequent moves by his admin were horrible in my opinion and it just killed my desire to support the team. Haven’t paid to watch a suns game since. Or really care to watch them.
Finally this year they are good and the whole political messaging has just killed my desire.
