This is my income history since moving to Utah in the fall of 1995. Five companies: Novell (twice), Lineo, Accelan, my own LLC, and my current employer of just over nine years.

-The initial rise up was boosted by cashing in some stock options, done with great timing.
-At my initial peak I left for a startup (Lineo), which failed 18 months later. One week's severance, nine months with a little contract work before getting another job.
-Two years at Accelan, seven more years with Novell until it was bought and I was made redundant. Six months severance, again nine months with a little contract work before getting my current job.
-I fantasize about what it would have been like without those two layoffs, but all in all it has been good.
-The last little dip is thanks to COVID.
-I will be retiring early next year, so 2021 is my swan song.
-All of my employment since 1990 has had to do with training, and is largely due to my degree then in instructional design from Utah State.
