Ah the memories, breathing in copious amounts of cigarette and pipe smoke, mixed with a tinge of grilled burger smoke. Would always have a magical headache by the 7th inning. Caught the end of the triple A Gulls in the early 80's, then attended mostly rookie league Trapper games in my youth. Was there the night they broke the record on the 29 game win streak. In HS was fortunate to play on the field, and get into the locker rooms. Was surprised the outfield wall was pure cement or cinder block. Derks was a true treasure.
