85 dudes on scholarship plus another 30-40 guys on the roster.
I don't understand how or why some people think that a 2 teams playing 16 games is too much and 4 teams playing 15 games is beyond reason.
In 1996 BYU played 15 games and they seemed to do just fine.
And as previously mentioned HS teams in TX and CA have to play 6 playoff games to win it all.
