CB car guys, help me diagnose a car problem.
My wife called and said her car died while she was stopped at an intersection exiting the freeway. She said the steering wheel shook, the brakes went stiff and the engine just died.
I suspect it has something to do with the fuel line. Any thoughts?

They're saying it's probably the torque converter.

What year make and model? Sounds like a Volvo or a SAAB.

Could be anything even simple as a battery

Happened to me once. Jumped it and it barely would drive so I thought it was something else. Nope. Just battery.

Bad alternator, causing the engine to drain the battery.

Nope. Alternator was/still is fine. Solely the battery.

Ya I’d definitely think it’s electrical. Probably alternator possibly battery

While driving? My first check would be the alternator

I had a similar problem, but I lost all electrical, not just the engine.
