My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather's unit surrendered to NBF's army at the battle of Sulfer

Creek Tressel in Alabama. Gr Grandpa Sam spent the rest of the war in Cahaba prison at what is now Selma, Alabama. Sam ended up dying in the Sultana river boat disaster after the war. Left behind a wife and several kids.

Forrest was a great general for the south. One of the south's most successful. Very shrewd and aggressive. Racist murderer after the war. Many believe he was a founder of the KKK.
