How many times have you seen somebody lost their job and then become a realtor?
I've seen it so many times. Because of the low barrier to entry people use being a realtor as the low barrier career change when life throws them a bad twist.
Like stenso said, the profession needs a high barrier to entry to prevent it being flooded with people.
