With the 10K being run first at NCAAs I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mantz, Clinger, and Garnica all try to double.
This assumes all three qualify for both races. I’m excited to see the three of them in a 10K together as they all seem to really push each other on the track.
My thinking is BYU has a better chance to score points in the 10K. If that race is first, then any points scored in the 5K is just icing on the cake.
Mantz has a chance to seal himself as the greatest long-distance runner ever (yes, better than Eyestone) at BYU with titles in the 5K and 10K on the track.
