That shows people assume, maybe correctly, there are better jobs than BYU. If that's the perception, we're not where we need to be. Some will say we can't get there, for whatever reason, but Gonzaga was not always Gonzaga, nor Kentucky Kentucky, etc. Those programs were not born, but became blue bloods, and there's no reason BYU can't become one, too. My fandom dictates we should be shooting for a level of success such that people don't automatically assume there's another class of jobs better than ours. Anyone OK with BYU being a 2nd or 3rd class NCAA hoops program should turn in their fan card. It may be reality for now, but it's not OK.
