Not necessarily. I’m almost the same age as Pope and make good money. So for 50%
More money (hypothetically the amount Arizona would pay over BYU) would I move to Tucson? Probably not. Would I uproot my kids in high school, as Pope would be doing? Probably not. Would I go to a company facing significant sanctions, considered dirty, poor leadership as Arizona is versus a company (school) which loves me, has great leadership and ethics? Probably not.
For those making good money, as Pope is already; an extra million a year isn’t a that big of a deal i would guess if it comes with the significant baggage and concerns I mentioned above. For me I would be very unlikely to do it for 50 or even a 100 percent more than I make now and do that to my family
