Locke Was talking about it on one of his podcast and said that because the jazz get so much more money from AT&T then they would from streaming services that it may be likely that we would see much of the same with the new deal. This is partially because so many of you in the local market have not cut the cord and continue to re-up for more expensive packages through those cable and dish that carry the channel. And of course AT&T owns DIRECTV.
That’s unless they can actually figure out how to monetize streaming through the NBA league Pass which as I understand it hasn’t been as lucrative to the teams as having their own cable channel. Maybe the new owner will actually do something but money seems to be the driving factor here
