I'm between a 4 and a 5 on your scale.
I own about 7 Dutch ovens, 2 family camp stoves, backpacking gear to outfit 4 people, 6 or 7 tents, and probably 15 sleeping bags. I also have a utility trailer that is just for hauling camping equipment.
My wife likes the outdoors as much as I do. Each of our 6 kids were camping with us by 8 months old. They all know how to set up tents, build fires that last, and how to camp comfortably. My college kids go camping on their own with their friends even, including my 18-yo daughter just Friday and Saturday.

I’m so outdoorsy — I wear Patagonia, the North Face and have a tattoo of pine trees. I think this makes me a 6.
