Could easily be per minute played metrics or something else to prevent creating perverse incentives.

This is why I don’t totally get the either total rest or total play thing. They could have rested Gobert 95% of Saturday

Completely agree. Unless warmups add to the wear and tear. Which is possible.

All I can figure is they feel like they couldn’t be disciplined enough to limit use so they just go all or nothing.
