Nuggets are 2.5 back of the Clippers and Lakers are 3 up on Blazers. And based on current trends and situations, I’d expect both of those gaps to grow rather than shrink.

So really the only plausible way for the Jazz to face Denver in the playoffs is if it’s round 2 after the Nuggets beat the Lakers.
