A buddy killed a bear that was circling us with his 29
We had bear tags. The bear walked in while checking a bait and circled. He shot it with his 29 in flip flops and shorts. Ran 100 yards and piled up.

I've got a 20 I carry for backpacking. It's too big, but I haven't shot the 29

The recoil is punishing and I am not recoil sensitive.

For 10mm - go with the full size.

I do - I love it. Best backcountry gun in existence, especially with underwood ammo.

How's the recoil? I've read that it can be something else when you put in "bear-grade" ammo

I have a 20, 40, and Kimber Ripade in 10mm. Kimber feels best in my hand

I've never shot that cartridge — what's the purpose you want 10mm?
