Separation and not parity is the aim of the autonomous conferences.
That’s the reason they demanded autonomy.
In 2014, speaking for his counterparts in the other P5s, outlined their intentions:
“I don't know that it's the responsibility of the 65 (schools) to fund the other 270 (within Division 1)."
He went on to say that they will operate in a manner that enhances the benefits of those 65 schools without worrying how it affects others
