have always been about. What's cool about Hitchcock is that he never cared what the plot of the story was, it was always just a means to build suspenseful moments. Like two spies trying to find a document in a basement and the audience realizes they are about to be caught. That's all that mattered. Nobody cared what the papers were they were looking for. Anyway, despite the fact that he didn't care much about plot, his films were still remarkable and groundbreaking. He has 4 of the top 100 films ever made according to AFI.
I still recall watching rear window as a kid and even at a young age I knew the film was different. It was amazing that it could all be contained within that living room with a guy in a wheelchair.
Anyway, yeah...Hitchcock was the real deal. Was born at the same time cinema was invented, started making silent movies. He's not underrated by any means just crazy he never won an Oscar.
