My Dad thought that the more water you drank the more you needed because your
body wouldn’t conserve it. He was right, but didn’t recognize that your body wasn’t functionally optimally on limited water and ran the risk of dehydration.
Today, I stay hydrated.

In the mid-90s a football player, I think on the Vikings, died from not drinking enough during practice
