Not really...

Petrol is that tied to the dollar. Also, even though the Fed is printing money, at least it’s tied to the US economy to some degree.

Crypto is literally tied to nothing...

Doubt it. At this point they feel safer than other stores of money and can get access to funds 24 hours a day.
