They distributed myself, my wife, and my 4 and 7 year old like 2-3 rows apart from each other. As much as I wouldn't mind sticking my 4 year old with another family for a 4-5 hour plane ride...

Just weird to me they wouldn't have considered that in redistributing the seats. "Oh, this ticket has a 4 year old - maybe a bad idea to stick them 5 rows away from anyone else in the family"

That and it bugs that you have to pay to select your seats, and then they go ahead and randomly distribute you anyway.
