I’ve learned to not assume anything regarding BYU and national championships..
...still smarting over losing back to back natty’s to Ohio St a few years back.
On one of those losses to Ohio St, we had 3 different sports teams playing for Natty’s that Saturday, men’s volleyball and both men’s and women’s rugby. Men’s rugby was undefeated and multi-year defending champs and was a big favorite vs Cal and BYU was favored vs Ohio St in v-ball. I remember waking up that Saturday thinking there’s no way BYU loses all 3 which is why I consigned myself to the notion that we would lose all 3, which we did.

I think it all comes down to BYU's mentality coming into the game. If they're not mentally into it, it's over in 3.
