Ages 18-49 made 21% of hospitalizations in December. That's up to 37% now.
But that "growth" is a function of the steep drop off in hospitalization rates for ages 65+ and doesn't represent an actual growth in more 18-49 people getting sick.
The current hospitalization rate for 18-49 is half of what it was 3 weeks ago.
