My two experiences in the Mayan Riviera had awful food (not Hyatt Ziva). My one trip to Puerto Vallarta was at a Hyatt
Ziva and the food was fantastic. The riviera maya region is awesome but I don’t find the food to be anything special down there.

It's way family friendly. We've been twice. They even have kiddie pools.

I have stayed at Gran Velas and would highly recommend it.
