The same people claiming bat flips are excessive and dangerous to those
nearby are the same ones advocating a 95 MPH retribution the next time the batter is up. Yeah, that’s not excessive or dangerous.
As for “disrespecting the game”, I agree that there’s plenty of more disrespectful behavior exhibited over the years by these self-proclaimed “purists.”
As for me, I’d much rather see baseball get with the times and thrive with the next generation than be relegated to something that only exists in its “purity” on tape.
