Unless the purpose of the hack was to avoid overt attention
At this moment I guarantee there are sensitive systems already hacked and bleeding information. And by the time the cyber team realizes, they try and cover it up to save their jobs. And when the Company finds out then they try and cover it up as well.
The arrogance of cyber defense is why I have to change my password every 6 months and we have Solar Winds and the Colonial hack this year.
