They make it feel like a really nice restaurant. Stone walls, Italian music, the decor is nice, the employees are dressed nicely. Et cetera.
They set themselves apart from all the other restaurants that just blast music and have TVs everywhere. I feel like I can actually have a nice conversation with my wife or whomever else, whereas if I go to Texas Roadhouse I’m literally shouting across the table or at Chili’s I’m distracted by the TV playing an NBA game.
Plus what’s their competition for Italian-style food? Spaghetti Factory and.....Fazolis? Is Fazolis even in business anymore?
By the way, they’re building a new Olive Garden out here in Saratoga Springs. They’re not dumb. There are a million middle-class families out here with limited options on where to go for a sit-down meal—especially a sit-down meal with a relatively nice ambience.
