Years ago when California had prices over $5 per gallon, my FIL had some plan to try to make his own gas to sell.
He tried to get me to invest in it. Red flags went up all over the place. He wanted to get his cousin’s barn to be the place they would do this. I had no idea how he would sell it or market it. I just saw the potential for liability and saw him burning down his cousin’s barn. I’m really glad it never took off for him.
