i have heard arguments that the printing of money may cause deflation because of

how globalized the economy is. WE can still get really cheap stuff from overseas. I think it is a stretch, but regardless or how expensive steel and lumber are, i can still jump on amazon and get bike pump for $10.
If things were less global like they were 50 years ago we would be in real trouble.

Don’t love quick inflation but deflation is much scarier from a debt perspective

Yep if you hold lots of debt deflation is bad but great if you are a saver
