They have to work very hard for all of their shots because they don't have the two guys who can easily exploit that small scene a team might give them. Then from that scene, either finish or kick out to the truly wide open three-point shooters.
As they have struggled their way through the games without at least one of them on the floor, they have hustled. They've played hard on D. The effort is there, but they expend so much energy on offense.
At one point, not sure it's still true, but the Jazz led the league in three-point shots taken in the first 6 seconds of the shot clock. That's what Mike and Don give. They are so quick on transition, that all the guys have to do is run and as often as not the Jazz will get an easy bucket.
I've said it before, the Jazz really are a synergy team. They are like the Spurs of a couple years ago. They are so much better when they have their full compliment. True of anyone I guess, but right now the Jazz don't have a single guy who can do what Donovan does routinely, and what Mike does selectively, and just take over the game.
Note: silver lining in this is that Bogdonovich has found much better offensive rhythm.
