Believe it or not, most of church is traditions. There are the few simple principles of the gospel itself, and then traditions that people squabble about whether or not they're set in stone or just adopted standards. And the fact that they're squabbled over, and inconsistent, is because it's all just personal interpretation. Interpretation adopted as standard, and becomes tradition.
