It did.
Let's start with these assumptions:
* Lakers don't want to be in the play-in
* Denver doesn't want to play Lakers first-round
Lakers, Denver, and Clippers all play their last game at the same time on Sunday.
Lakers will try to win to get to 6th
Denver will try to lose to both avoid 3rd and avoid helping Lakers get to 6, so they don't end up in a 3/6 matchup with Lakers.
Clippers can choose to lose to stay 4, or win to get to 3 (if Denver loses). Either way, there's no way they end up with the Lakers in first round. 🙁
But maybe Lakers knows all of this and so won't even try to get to 6
Conclusion: *shrug*. Looks like Jazz should just try to stay 1 and hope the Lakers win the first play-in. It's possible the Jazz get Lakers and Clippers in rounds 1 and 2. Both 1 and 2 seeds aren't great positions to be in except for HCA. Denver and the Clippers at 3/4 are in the best positions right now.
