...in the year or two prior to his passing he had a dream where he was visited by a heavenly messenger who told him that he had been taking some powerful drugs for years to counter the effects of his Parkinson’s disease like Xanax and his dosage was pretty high. The visitor told him that his body had become dependent on it and that when he passed on he would carry that dependency with him to the other side. He said physical dependency can leave an imprint on us spiritually and that it would make things difficult for him in the spirit world.

He asked for a priesthood blessing and was promised that if he had faith that he would find that once he got the meds out of his system he would find that his tremors weren’t too much different after than they were when he was on the meds. He immediately went to see his doctor to start getting off of the meds. Heavenly Father was true to His word and while my Dad’s tremors were a little more off the medicine than they were while he was taking it, it wasn’t that much different.

Gave me a lot to think about regarding things we become dependent on physically in this world that leave imprints on us spiritually which we won’t be able to satisfy when we are without our bodies in the spirit world.
