There are a lot of topics that the average CB poster believes they know more about than others. We're particularly good at believing we know more about topics than professionals in the field. And this would be a boring place if people were only allowed to have opinions on subjects where they had been certified as an expert somehow. The best posts are often by the people who know the least (for entertainment value, at least.)

That said - I still believe that the coaches know more about football than your average CB poster/fan. That doesn't mean the coaches don't make mistakes sometimes. And it doesn't mean that your average CB poster doesn't have an intelligent take on coaching with at least the same frequency that a blind squirrel finds nuts.

I do think it is super easy to sit and point out what may appear to be a silly decision when you don't know the thought process behind the decision that was made. I find that often when you know what's going on behind the scenes, apparent dumb decisions don't always look as dumb as they initially did.
