Planted a Mango tree 2.5 years ago. Started it in a moist zip lock.
Moved it to a pot for 4 months, then the ground. Now it's over 9 ft tall. Won't be fruit bearing for a few more years but it'll be worth the wait.
The trick is getting a seed from a non-stringy/fuzzy species.
