As a BYU fan who watched Wilson's progression and how well he played at times last year, I think he's great.

But I worry a little about getting over-hyped as to what to expect from him this coming season as a rookie. And the comments coming out of OTAs aren't helping me temper the hype.

All that said - I don't necessarily want anyone to disparage Darnold. Doesn't seem fair to him. If anything, maybe something talking about the new coaches and Wilson being a great fit, etc., so the focus isn't on "Wilson is great but Darnold sucked". That just seems unnecessary when the reality is Darnold wasn't exactly set up to be successful either.
